Chimney sweep charged with fraud of nearly £30k

A chimney sweep has been charged following reports of fraud in Hastings and Rother.

Adam Reid, 40, of Dorset Road, Bexhill has been remanded into custody charged with 19 counts of fraud totalling nearly £30,000 by false representation and one count of fraudulent trading, Sussex Police said.

Mr Reid is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 2 May.

Police say the investigation relates to fraud against 19 alleged victims between November 2022 and February 2025.
